On Historicity, Univers(al)ity, and Hope. – Zuzana Svobodová’s text is a memory and commentary on a number of topics that were addressed by Professor Jaroslava Pešková. The article addresses mainly the matter of history, historicity and tradition, including the history of philosophy. Furthermore, the text examines the topic of universality (universalia) and, in this sense, also that of the University. Finally, the possibility to make Comenius’ thoughts up-to-date, based on hope.
