Stanislav Polák: T. G. Masaryk. Towards Ideal and Truth 4 (1900–1914). – The most extensive volume of the planned 6 volume modern bibliography of Tomáš G. Masaryk – the most detailed work yet published. The forth volume continuously reassumes the events and battles described in the previous volume, Masaryk’s life is described during the dreary time of Hilsner affair. Polák is a historian and an archivist. His work is a great collection of facts, he shows Masaryk realistically and interprets him on a great level, but a more profound analysis of Masaryk’s thinking and work is lacking.
