Abstract

Family in the Islamic Tradition. – It is the religion that especially influences the form of traditional Muslim family and it is insight into Islam that can help us to understand some of the inner context of the Muslim family. The text outlines basic features and the family role in the Islamic tradition. It describes the marriage procedure, the perception of the marriage in the context of Quran, concerns the family life together, the position of a man and a woman, the role of a child and divorce possibilities in the Muslim family. It deals the adumbration of the ideal family model in Islam in particular with regard to local differences in different cultural areas given by unequal social evolution.
