Abstract

Dear readers,

this year’s volume of the e-journal PAIDEIA is effected by an implementation of a new redaction system. This new system will bring benefits not only to editors but also to the users. This year’s volume will be abbreviated into two double-issues and testing of the new system will be continuous.

This year’s first double-issue brings a study by Lenka Novotná on Schopenhauer’s influence on R. Wagner, a text of David Heider on philosophical problems of the spontaneous cognition, a study by Lada Furmaníková on inner world of man, an essay by Barbora Drobíková on hermeneutics and s few conference papers: a contribution by Radomír Havlík was delivered during workshops on multiculturality at the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague on 24.–25. 11. 2005. For an international conference The Violence in Education, Art and Sport which also took place at the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague on 4. May 2006 were prepared contributions by Scott Fleming, Barbara Turlejska, and Jana Šindelová. This issue is concluded by a book review by Jan Hábl (M. J. Erickson – Truth or Consequences: The Promise and Perils of Postmodernism).
