Abstract

Dear readers,

in the third issue of the XIXth volume of the e-journal PAIDEIA, two articles are devoted to the thinking of J. A. Comenius: Tomáš Tlapa compares the philosophies of Comenius and R. Descartes, and the first part of Johana Franková’s study compares Comenius’s conception of the world in his works Labyrinth of the World and Paradise of the Heart and Unum necessarium. Anna Hogenová deales with the concept of selfhood using Heidegger’s ontology and the idea of ontological difference, Petr Dudek introduces us to the thinking of French philosopher and sociologist Bruno Latour, and Martin Janas, inspired by Heidegger, discusses the substantive aspect of photography as a work of art. The issue concludes with a review of the edition of correspondence between sociologist Karel Hrubý and theologian Karel Skalický, written by Zuzana Svobodová. We wish you much inspiration!
