Abstract

Religious horizon in the life of high school pupils. – This article explores the potential of religious training as a multidisciplinary field that can enrich the high schools’ curriculum, promoting critical thinking, ethical reflection and intercultural competence in pupils. I approach the topic with regard to the works of Konrad Liessmann, Jürgen Moltmann and Hans Küng, who in their works deal with issues of education, hope and ethics from theological perspectives. The text is based on a literature review of relevant theological, philosophical and educational theories, with the aim of identyfying key arguments for the inclusion of theology in the high school educational proces. I also analyze the results of the conducted quantitative research with the aim of providing practical examples of the opinions of selected pupils about religious, ethical and moral questions. Used method is analytical-deductive and the research part is quantitative, analytical-descriptive. I chose the written questionnaire method for the selected respondents.
