Abstract

Aristotle – rhythmos and numeros (the rhythm in the movement of a man and the figure in the transformation of being). – We tried to clarify Aristotle’s approach to usage of the term “rhythm” in science (physis) and in human creativity (technae), especially in the context of art and craft. We searched for ways of using the concepts of “rhytmos” (in social science) and “numerous” (in science) in the context of human craft, movement and the transformation of Being. We analyzed the similarities and differences of both concepts in accordance with the topics of Aristotle’s papers; we also tried to clarify his approach to the dynamics of human creativity, in a broader sense than is used in music, poetry and crafts, based on fundamental features of Being, of wholes and parts, of substance and of movement. We followed his method of clarifying the concepts of “rhythmos” and “numeros” by including all the aforementioned features in our analysis.
