Abstract

This article analyzes the issue of enthusiasm and hermeneutics in the context of thinking of the Ancient and Classical Greece. In a theoretical manner also tries to gain an insight into the semantical structure of enthusiasm and hermeneutics, basing on historical excursus (the Ancient Age, the Classical Age) to support its historical transformation. It was enthusiasmos and the way of hermeneutical explanation, which enabled the poets to create pieces of art and gave rise to performing and poetry art. The pressuposition of God’s presence in the spiritual experience of enthusiasm made it possible to uplift imagination towards an image of something majestically godlike and therefore truthful. Also the hermeneutical reflection of the world performed by an enthusiastic poet provided the philosopher of the Classical Age with mythical notion of the world order in the best way.
