Abstract

Dear readers,

we are bringing you a double issue of our PAIDEIA e-journal. Jiří Olšovský thinks over problem of the relationship of metaphysics and philosophy at Martin Heidegger and Soren Kierkegaard. Monika Zimovčáková focuses in her study of Erich Fromm on the relationship of the natural and cultural base of man. Luděk Brouček deals with Feyerabend’s philosophy of mythical thinking, Karel Kukla shows the emloyment possibilities of Spinoza’s learning about agere in philosophy of education, Jiřina Víravová deals with the phenomenon of violence, particularly with regard to violence against children. Jarmila Zacharová shows problems of the Slovak education system at the beginning of Czechoslovakia.

Series of three conference papers from authors A. P. Shklyarenko, T. G. Kovalenko, L. M. Pashkova and D. A. Ulyanov engages the problem of commercialization of sport and its impact on this field of human endeavor.
