Abstract

Dear readers,

we wish you a great start in 2010, many memorable moments and exciting endeavors.

Two authors from Lithuania, Ona Visockienė and Vilija Dabrišienė, offer an application of Bloom’s taxonomy in education to critical thinking in their English written article. We have also received an article from University of Ostrava by authors Lenka Naldoniová and Jan Vorel, in this issue we publish the first part of this article, in which you can read about Pavel Florenskij, a Russian philosopher and a prominent member of the Russian Symbolism movement, and about his thinking of word and antinomy. This year’s first issue of Paideia eventually offers second part of Zbyněk Zicha’s article, in which the author asks if the special sciences may be involved in philosophy of education. Jana Dlouhá investigates possibility of moral science and finds it on Emanuel Rádl’s conception of Good. The first issue of this year is supplemented by Pavel Žďárský’s book review of Stanislav Polák’s biography T. G. Masaryk. Za ideálem a pravdou.

We hope you will find our articles inspiring.
