Abstract

Schopenhauer’s Influence on the Thought and Work of Richard Wagner. – The text approaches the life and work of Richard Wagner, one of the giants of world classical music, from the point of view given by the influence of Arthur Schopenhauer. It is an attempt to underline the fact, that the impact of Schopenhauer’s philosophy was absolutely crucial in many aspects, when we meditate Wagner’s work and life. Significant facts of Wagner’s life-story support the argumentation.
