The Second Life of Comenius

Abstract

The Second Life of Comenius. – This research deals with the interpretative phenomenological analysis of Comenius’ works and shows how the understanding of his ideas has been changing with respect to the state of the world and the way of the reflection of man. The goal of the study is to discuss the reasons why and in which forms Comenius have been an inspirational source of a philosophy of education. Interpretations of Comeniological motives in Jan Patocka's and Klaus Schaller’s works are also reviewed.
