Abstract

Upbringing of Man towards Multicultural Communication. – Our mutual aim is to learn to live in a multicultural society, consisting of many different socio-cultural groups. Co-existence with members of minorities must be based on principals of tolerance, respect, dialogue and constructive co-operation. Good relationship is the relationship of equal communicating partners, when one respects the other, strives to understand his views and to respect his values, and at the same time is also ready to carry on a dialogue with him. Multicultural co-existence is possible between partners, which keep their own identity and who are aware of who they are. At the same time, they are tolerant and are not afraid to take responsibility for their decisions and actions. Therefore today we need to devote an emphasized attention to multicultural education, of which a question of multicultural communication is a part. It is this communication that also creates the risk of misunderstanding.
