Abstract

Attitude towards Foreigners and Minorities in the Light of Sociological Research. – The text maps opinions, views and attitudes of Czech population, Czech youth. It shows a methodological difference of approaches of hitherto research and describes the trends effected by this research (reduction of xenophobia, dependence of xenophobia on age and education, lower level of xenophobia among children and youth, division of “foreign” into “problematic and non-problematic”, significantly negative relationship with Roma population, etc.) The mapping of the situation and the evaluation of methodology of monitored research will then be the base for creation of research methodology on ratio of xenophobia and on opinions about forms and effectivity of multicultural education of students of social sciences.
