The journal Lidé města / Urban People is published by the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University, Prague.

Charles University is the oldest and internationally renowned public university in Central Europe, established in 1348.

Faculty of Humanities was established in 2000 in order to provide BA, MA, and PhD study programmes and research in the humanities and social sciences.

The journal was founded in 1999. Since 2024, it has been published only in electronic version in open access format. The complete content remains openly available, without publication or other fees.
