On the teaching of Dia-Logos in the New Testament. – Based on an analysis of terms representing the notion of teacher in the New Testament, the article shows, how the Evangelists sought to demonstrate the uniqueness of Jesus’ role as a teacher. Due to the fact that they all targeted different addressees, they used different terms to refer to Jesus as teacher. Nevertheless, it is still possible to present those characteristic features of Jesus’ role of a teacher that are common with all of the Evangelists’ records. The Logos of the Bible, which communicates itself, is an image of the human openness to dialogue – i.e. the principle of the open soul –, on which the entire paideia is based.
