Abstract

The second issue of the eighth volume of the journal Literacy, Pre-literacy, and Education presents studies focused on the development of early literacy, reading competence, and metacognitive strategies in preschool and primary education. The contributions include an analysis of modifications to the Elkonin method for fostering language skills, a theoretical study on the role of metacognitive strategies in reading comprehension, and a discussion of the international project Night with Andersen as a tool for promoting reading literacy in multilingual education.
