Abstract

Abstract

The issue of the journal Literacy, Pre-literacy and Education entitled “Transformation of Schools and Education” reflects current changes and challenges within contemporary educational systems in the context of legislative reforms, increasing learner diversity, and growing demands for individualized and inclusive educational support. The published research studies and professional reports address a broad range of topics, including the reform of postponements of compulsory school attendance and the readiness of educational stakeholders for its implementation, the identification and support of gifted learners, internal differentiation of instruction, and the development of inclusive educational strategies. Further attention is devoted to higher education counselling, digital inclusion, the development of digital competences, and the importance of interinstitutional cooperation linking theoretical preparation with educational practice. Across all contributions, a common theme is the search for effective approaches to creating supportive, accessible, and flexible learning environments that respond to the diverse needs of children, pupils, and students while fostering their educational success, participation, and personal development.
